Rumor: Skyrim High Resolution pack to be released alongside Creation Kit

Not too long ago, Bethesda sent out word that much demanded Creation Kit for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be landing on February 7th. The tweet also teased fans that a “special surprise” would accompany its release, with not even a cryptic hint from the developers themselves.

However, it looks like a gamer by the alias of Bonehedge has saved us of all the thinking. The user stumbled upon a content description record on Steam, which detailed an official high resolution texture for Skyrim. The image grabbed looks legit, and you can check it out for yourselves below.

Skyrim is already a visual treat, but the graphics can be taken several notches higher with the hardware today’s PCs has to offer. And it looks like we won’t have to look to modders to deliver an upgrade for at least the texture department. Regardless, we won’t have to wait too long as the Creation Kit and “special surprise” will hit Steam soon enough.
