Rumour: Next Remedy title is Alan Wake: Night Springs

A “extremely reliable” source has told XBLA fans that the next Alan Wake title will be known as Night Springs and will be a download only title, with no retail release planned for it.

They claim to have seen screencaps from the game, but choose not to disclose them at this point of time.

Although, there’s nothing official on this yet but the fact that Remedy confirmed recently that a new Alan Wake title is indeed in development but isn’t Alan Wake 2, somewhat suggests that this might prove out to be true. Here’s what they said:

“Fans of the franchise will be excited to learn that yes, more Wake is coming! But to be absolutely certain to avoid confusion, this next Wake instalment will not be Alan Wake 2. And neither will it be DLC,” said head of franchise development Oskari Hakkinen.

The website had earlier predicted that a new Batman game title Gotham City Imposters was in development, which proved out to be true last week.

We’ll send both Remedy and Microsoft an email and see if there’s any truth to this.
