Scotland Yard Arrests LulzSec Spokesperson in UK

The spokesperson of the now infamous LulzSec group has been arrested in the UK by police.

The Metropolitan Police released a statement today saying that the 19-year-0ld, known online as “Topiary”, was arrested at an address in the Shetlands, a group of islands off the north coast of Scotland.

According to the statement, “Topiary” will be charged with offenses relating to cybercrime, hacking and network intrusions. His residential address is being searched, and another teenager from Lincolnshire is being questioned by police, although no official arrest has been made.

“Topiary” would now be moved to a police station in London to be interrogated further by the police. His real name has been kept secret.

Suddenly, all the stuff that LulzSec pulls makes sense to me – if I was a nineteen year old stuck up in the Shetlands all day with nothing to do, I would probably resort to anything I could just to get some lulz.
