Sledgehammer games and IW co developing Modern Warfare 3

According to a news published in the LA Times, Activision have assigned Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward to co-develop the next iteration of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series.

Titled, Modern Warfare 3, the game is being developed with both Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward “equally sharing duties of producing the single-player portion of the game” and the multiplayer is being developed by Raven Software as previous rumours suggested.

Earlier in the month, a job listing for a community manager was posted by Activision, who was searching for someone to help “build and drive the studio community management effort for Sledgehammer and the next Call of Duty game.”

According to LA Times, the next Modern Warfare game is reportedly “well into production and is expected to come out in November.”

This might very well be true since Infinity Ward was confirmed to be working on a CoD title by Activision recently.
