Sony: “Anonymous” file found on server

The Official PS Blog has published a written response to the U.S House of Representatives, detailing what measures they’ve taken since becoming aware that their servers were hacked into and what details they have discovered.

One striking revelation made in the statement is that they’ve found a file on one of SOE’s servers which read “Anonymous” and “We are Legion”.

We discovered that the intruders had planted a file on one of our Sony Online Entertainment servers named “Anonymous” with the words “We are Legion.”

Anonymous had denied that they played a role in the PSN breach. But this is inexcusable. From their track record, we know that Anonymous are proud to leave their signature behind. Either they did just that, or somebody with a huge grudge against them is settinng them up.
