Sony granted temporary restraining order against GeoHot

Sony has been granted a temporary restraining order against GeoHot by the Northern California courts.

The order prevents him from disclosing anything related to the jailbreak which reveals the exploit in Sony’s PS3 console. He is also not allowed to “help or encourage,” others to jailbreak, or hack into any other Sony system released or to be released.

All of these also apply to all failoverflow members aswell. They have also be ordered to hand over all their equipment including their computers to Sony’s lawyers to allow them to investigate if they were used to create the Jailbreak.

Well, the hack is already out there and this won’t do much good but it’ll go a long way in making others think twice before they plan on hacking a device again.
