Sony Santa Monica studios looking for a ” Senior Online Programmer” for the God of War team

“Join the God of War team!” says the caption of a new job listing for a Senior Online Programmer posted by Sony Santa Monica on Gamasutra , hinting at a possibility of a multiplayer component in the next God of War installment. The listing reads:

“Designing and implementing systems and tools to support networking needs (such as in-game communication, client-server, match-making, leaderboards)“.

The God of War titles have solely been a single player experience and gamers haven’t complained so far. However, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 proved that an extra player can add a whole new level of depth and strategy to the gameplay in Hack n Slash games.
