Square Enix to release retitled True Crime: Hong Kong in 2012

Square Enix London Studioes has confirmed that they will be releasing the game previously known as True Crime: Hong Kong in 2012.
The publisher recently purchased the rights to the game (not the name) from Activision. The game is still being developed by United Front Games, the original developers but will be released under a completely new name.
The game takes place on Hong Kong Island and will be an openworld action game featuring the island’s unique and distinctive buildings and districts. Players take the role of Detective Wei Shen, a local cop working undercover to infiltrate the Triads.
Lee Singleton, General Manager at Square Enix London Studios, says that the team “fell in love with [the game] and instantly recognised the huge potential in the game and the team”. Likewise, United Front Games’ President Stefan Wessels is excited and “really pleased to be working with Square Enix London Studios and their excitement on the game means a great deal to us”.
