Super Mario 3DS and Mario Kart 3DS confirmed for a holiday release

Nintendo has confirmed that the two of its biggest 3DS titles announced so far, will be arriving in stores just in time for the holiday season.

The plumber’s much demanded return to platforming is now re-named Super Mario 3D Land, and will be available sometime in November. Mario Kart 7, the sequel to the best-selling game on the DS will hit the tracks in December.

While Nintendo didn’t pin down an exact date, they did confirm that Kid Icarus: Uprising is still slated to ship during the holiday season.

Couple this with the imminent price drop, and you finally get a reason to pick up the 3DS apart from just revisiting Ocarina of Time.
