Taylor’s Knights and Castles put on hold

Gas Powered Games founder and CEO Chris Taylor, the mind behind Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander has told Big Download that his latest RTS project, Kings and Castles has been put on hold.

“We’ve put the project on hold for now, but the moment I know more I will let you know,” said Taylor in an email.

“I can’t go into those details just yet… Let’s call it a ‘timing’ thing.”

Taylor has always hit a home run when it comes to RTS titles. According to Chris, Kings and Castles is a “one-of-a-kind experience” which will place players in the shoes of “one of three powerful kings who are vying for control of an all-new, original fantasy world.” As the title suggests, the RTS will be set in medieval times and like Supreme Commander, Kings and Castles lets you zoom in and out of the map to a large extent.

Kings and Castles was announced for the PC as well as consoles.  Judging from Chris’ track record, RTS fans wouldn’t want to miss this for anything
