The “E” word Roundup

“Exclusive is my new favourite word”

This is what Jack Tretton, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA), had to say amidst announcing lots of exclusive contents for Playstation 3. Here is a roundup:-

EA’s John Rapper announces that two new titles, namely Dead Space 2 and Medal Of Honor, are going to have PS3 exclusive content. Medal of Honor is going to feature an exclusive playable character called Deuce as well as having an exclusive Limited edition of the game, when it’s released on October 12th, with a revamped version of 2002′s Medal of Honor: Frontline included. Dead Space 2 is going to possess a special edition exclusively for PS3 which is going to include Dead Space 2 and Dead Space: Extraction with full Move support.

Next announcement is perhaps the most shocking, as it invovled Gabe Newell of Valve!! Gabe announces that Steam content is going to be delivered in PS3. Gabe further states that, “Sony’s console is going to be home to the best version of the game”

Further, Mafia 2 will have exclusive content from Day 1 of it’s release on October offering new missions, story and gameplay only for PS3 gamers. Also Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will have PS3 exclusive missions and the MultiPlayer beta will be exclusively for PS3 users.

It is only apparent that in this year’s E3, Sony bagged the “E” word by announcing many exclusive PS3 contents. Gives us all the more reasons to fetch a PS3!
