The Witcher 2 DRM details revealed, special offer on The Witcher Enhanced Edition

During a press conference, CD Projekt announced that the GOG.com of Witcher 2 will not use any form of DRM. However, non GOG versions, including the retail versions will implement SecuROM to “keep pirates from leaking the game before its scheduled release date of May 17.”

The game requires you to log onto the net only once and wont require a permanent internet connection like Ubisoft’s offerings. The game can be installed unlimited times on unlimited number of PCs.

To celebrate the release of The Witcher 2, CD Projekt will be releasing the Enhanced Version of The Witcher on GOG.com on May 10th for a mere $4.99. However, the offer is only valid till May 24th, after which, the price will revert to $9.99. So those of you who have yet to experience this masterpiece, wait no more, and what better time than with The Witcher 2  set to release on May 17th.
