THQ announces South Park: The Game

THQ has announced that they’re working with Matt Stone and Trey Parker, in addition to developer Obsidian Entertainment for South Park: The Game.

The title is primarily a role-playing game which sees players taking the control of a newcomer to South Park.

Danny Bilson, EVP Core Games, THQ said:

Our goal is simple: to put creative talent first. Matt and Trey are arguably two of the most important comedic talents of their generation. Bringing their vision of South Park to the interactive space is a dream-come-true.

First details will be unveiled via GameInformer‘s January cover. South Park: The Game launches during the Q2, 2012.
