Top 5 Worst NES Game Endings

The original NES is one of the most recognized and well known video gaming systems around the world. Being made in the 1980′s this gaming machine was way ahead of it’s time. Some of the video game creators on the other hand were not ahead of their time creating simple minded games that were boring after just a few minutes of play.

We have compiled a list of the 5 worst NES game endings ever  as well as a lovely videos of the ending of each game.

There is nothing more sad than seeing a video game that you may have spent days or even weeks trying to beat just to see some silly text and a picture of the main character, after which you just get a blank screen.

Yes, unfortunately I have purchased this game ($2) and it was a huge disappointment.  From the sub-par graphics and lag that the game provided, I was overly saddened after realizing what a waste of my $2 this was.  I would have rather of purchased a pack of skittles and a soda.

This game was slightly different.  It was made in Japan and the point of the game was to fight Hitler.  At the end of the game you shoot the helicopter with the bad guy in it and his head explodes.  Not a very compelling ending to a game that was mildly difficult and the ending came to shooting a helicopter with Hitler in it.

I will always personally be a huge fan of any Zelda game but this one definitely had one of the worst endings I’ve ever seen in a video game.  It’s so sad to hear the music at the end of the game as it’s the same music you hear whenever Link dies.

This game was great for being only the second installment in the Super Mario Bros. franchise.  It’s unfortunate though at the end of a very tough game to find out that the whole thing was just a dream!

It’s saddened many kids who were in love with the Battletoads game to see that the evil woman who is taunting you the entire game just gets a few smacks and the good guys fly off rescuing the captives.  Being that this game is generally at the top of almost all lists for hardest games to beat on NES, you wouldn’t be committing a crime if you would have expected a much more grand of an ending.
