Ubisoft intends to bring their top franchises to tablets

Ubisoft has announced that it will be introducing its top IPs on the tablets.While addressing at Ubisoft’s quarterly financial briefing, the company’s CEO  Yves Guillemot, stated that they are developing a few titles to be launched on computer tablets.

“The tablet market is growing fast, we have Apple and lots of other players with tablets. We are developing a few products around our brands. You will see games in the next few years from all of our biggest brands like Assassin’s.”

Other than Apple, Samsung, Blackberry and HTC are also present in the computer tablets market. While Apple uses iOS, others are riding their money on Google’s Android with hardware comparable to present day netbooks.

At the briefing, he also revealed that these games won’t be rehashes of existing games, but new titles developed from the ground up, featuring a totally different storyline.

“They will be different games. They will be adapted from games in the past or specifically developed for those platforms.”
