Uncharted 3 VAs Think “Naughty Dog Pushes PS3 to Limits”, More Uncharted Titles Possible

Now that Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has been released, gamers are undoubtedly experiencing the power and technical abilities of the PlayStation 3. Nolan North, the man behind Nathan Drake’s voice, has said developer Naughty Dog pushes Sony’s console to its limits. Elena Fisher’s voice actor, meanwhile, says she supports more Uncharted installments as long as players enjoy the PlayStation 3 exclusive franchise.

North, firstly, told T3 during an interview that Naughty Dog have once again pushed the PS3 to its limits:

The problem is only the PS3’s processor is powerful enough to be able to handle all the information. Naughty Dog pushes that processor to the break, it pushes the PS3 to its limits.

The studio have previously stated that they utilized the PlayStation 3′s full power by “maxing out” the platform in order to develop Uncharted.

The voice actor of Elena Fisher, Emily Rose, told GamePro that the contributing factor of further Uncharted titles is only if fans enjoy the current releases in the series:

Because we have different characters, it opens up a world of options. It’s like in “Haven,” where with different episodes we explore a story through different characters. In the game, we can split up a story and follow along with different characters for a major section of gameplay to make things interesting. I think Uncharted is a fantastic franchise, but I think the fans and the creators don’t ever want to see another game just because it can make a lot of money. Quality has been the driving force of these games and I think it would be great to keep making these games as long as people enjoy them.

Uncharted 3 is now available worldwide following its European launch yesterday.
