Warhammer 40K: Space Marine slated for an August release

THQ has confirmed that the next instalment in the Warhammer 40K franchise will ship sometime in August.

The company has yet to issue a concrete release date, but it’s a hell of a lot better than just summer. At least we know now that the game is nearing the end of its development.

Space Marine places you in the boots of Captain Titus from the Ultramarine segment, as you defend the Imperial Forge World not only from a million-strong Ork army, but also chaos troops as well.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine is being developed by Relic for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
