WWE ’12 announced, gets teaser trailer

THQ has announced the next iteration in their 40+ million selling series as WWE ’12.

Notably, the company has removed the SmackDown vs. Raw title, and re-branding the franchise starting with WWE ’12. The superstars who have been confirmed upon the reveal of the title are Randy Orton, John Cena, The Miz, as well as Alberto Del Rio. The game releases on November 22nd in the United States and 25th in Europe. Realism has been emphasised in WWE ’12, with the inclusion of ‘Predator’ technology, which results in more fluid-based movements from the wrestlers.

Yuke’s Creative Director, Corey Ledesma, said:

We aren’t changing the game entirely or completely ripping everything out to start over. That wasn’t the goal, what we are doing is taking the basic essence of what is good in the past games and making a new experience that feels fresh, fun, responsive, faster, smoother and is of higher quality. If you’re played the SmackDown vs. Raw games in the past, I have zero doubt you will notice the difference as soon as you pick up this year’s game.
