XCOM announced by the Creators of Bioshock 2

2K Games has announced the arrival of XCOM, an FPS developed by 2K Marin studio for the PC and Xbox360. The same developers created BioShock 2, the much acclaimed game which released earlier this year.

“With BioShock 2, the team at 2K Marin proved themselves as masters of first-person, suspenseful storytelling, and with XCOM they will re-imagine and expand the rich lore of this revered franchise,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “Players will explore the world of XCOM from an immersive new perspective and experience firsthand the fear and tension of this gripping narrative ride.”

The game is said to be reinventing the classic subject of “ humanity’s struggle against an unknown enemy” and will be putting you in the shoes of an FBI agent. Your mission will be to identify and eliminate this growing threat. A daunting task as you are facing an unknown enemy which will severely test your frailty and human ingenuity. The first-person perspective of the game will enable players to feel the tension that comes while fighting a faceless enemy that is violently plotting to make its way into our world
