Xperia Play launching on March 31st in UK, launch titles revealed

Sony Ericsson will finally be releasing the much awaited Xperia Play on March 31st in the UK.

The Android 2.3 smartphone will come with six pre-installed  games: Bruce Lee Dragon Warriors, Tetris, Star Battalion, FIFA 10,The Sims 3 and the PS one classic, Crash Bandicoot.

Speaking on the occasion, SE’s marketing director David Hilton had this to say to MCV:

“We are currently still in commercial conversation, but I’d be surprised if we didn’t see Xperia Play appear in other channels,” he explained.

“All the mobile operators and retailers are selling it. It is rare these days to get a product that is sold everywhere, but this is one of those. This will be the biggest marketing campaign we have had in the UK.”

Apart form the six bundled games, one will also be able to purchase all games available on the Android Marketplace along with 50 more titles from the PlayStation Suite. More details weren’t revealed but you can expect some PS one classics on the list.
